In Honor of John Barry

CNN reports today that John Barry has died.

John, thank you for all the joy and comfort that you've brought to my heart and the hearts of millions through your amazing spirit, expressed with so much skill through the music that you composed.

I wonder how many millions of times a human being has listened to your music. To find out you'd have to total all of the number of viewers in all the showings at theaters, all broadcasts over television, and all streaming over Netflix and others of all the 110 films that were blessed by your music since 1959.

We'll never forget some the greatest themes of all-time that you created and graced some of those films with including,

• Midnight Cowboy
• Born Free
• Somewhere In Time
• Out of Africa, and
• Dances With Wolves
