This political season reminds me that the Devil is a lie.
His very appearance is a deception. He's a wolf that comes in sheep's clothing.
He doesn't come with the appearance of a bum, or a fiend. He comes in a business suit.
He doesn't look like a thug. He looks like your dad.
He speaks of goodness and values but acts without integrity and does whatever it takes to win.
All the evil he generates is done in the name of good.
He distracts you from realizing his con through the use of surprises and sensational gimmicks.
He doesn't want you to think calmly. He wants to distract you and make you afraid.
He prefers not to be questioned.
He appeals to the ignorant, not the intelligent.
He thrives on anxiety and hate, not calmness and love.
He's not sincere in agreements with others. He'll shake your hand and use it to throw you under the bus.
He changes his story from one day to the next.
He lies.
He is a lie.
